Begin your skill-building journey to prepare for the transformative role of artificial intelligence in healthcare! CIHI partnered with the University of Waterloo’s Wattspeed program to deliver this first in a series of 3 AI courses.
This course introduces you to AI in a health care setting, dispels common myths, and explores its real-world impact on patient care. From improving decision-making to streamlining processes, you’ll discover how AI is shaping the future of healthcare.
We’ll also examine key challenges, including bias in AI, over-reliance on technology, and the importance of protecting patient privacy and security. The course emphasizes ethical practices, the use of diverse data, and the need for human oversight to ensure AI is applied safely and effectively.
Finally, you’ll be introduced to two Comprehensive Decision Trees. The first for AI Implementation and the second for Daily Use of AI. These practical tools will guide you in making informed decisions about incorporating AI in health care environments. You’ll get to dig further into using the Decision Trees in the later AI courses in this series.
